The race of African hopes

Created in 2018, the race is part of the UCI U23 Nations Cup calendar, making African sport history. With the ambition of improving African cycling, this race was created by the willpower of UCI president, David Lappartient, who strongly believes in Afriacan cycling potential and talent.

We delivered the first two years editions in Cameroon under the supervision of the Cameroon Cycling Federation.

For its second edition, the five stages of the race have taken place from the 4th to the 9th of February 2019. 19 delegations took part, hailing from 4 continents: Algeria, Argentina, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ecuador, Eritrea, Japan, Mauritius, Europe-Monaco, Morocco, Nigeria, Portugal, Rwanda, Tunisia, Egypt and Mixed Africa.

For the 2019 edition of the race, Vivendi Sports has brought together the biggest stars from the Cameroun music scene in an exclusive show: 237 United. Locko, Daphne, Adango, MrLeo and Blanche took turns on the stage of the CanalOlympia halls.
